Wheeler Health · Bristol, CT · 2 wk ago
OTHRVolunteer

Wheeler’s vision is that all people will have the opportunity to grow, change and live healthier, productive lives. Our mission is to provide equitable access to innovative care that improves health, recovery and growth at all stages of life.

About the role

Wheeler offers a single master’s-level internship placement annually in its Grants Department. The grants intern will learn how to search for funding opportunities to meet agency and program needs, review and summarize funding opportunities (request for proposals (RFFs), notice of funding opportunities (NOFOs), etc.), develop grant reports, gather required attachments for grant proposals and reports, lay out narrative drafts for new funding opportunities, request and analyze program data for use in proposals and grant reports, create data charts, figures, and graphs in Excel, and write smaller community, private, or corporate grant proposals.

The internship will likely include collaboration with program leaders across the agency and the senior leadership team during the full grant cycle. Extensive training on all stages of the grant cycle and mentoring will be provided by Wheeler’s Senior Director of Grants.
