Master Painter

About the role

BRMi is seeking a Master Painter with 10 years of experience minimum for an onsite contract opportunity in Vienna, VA. This is a full-time, onsite position expected to last approximately 3–6 months, possibly more, in support of our financial services client.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced interior and exterior painting
• Prepare surfaces to ensure high-quality finishes
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Train and guide junior painters
• Coordinate material requirements and project schedules
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 10+ years of commercial, industrial, or institutional painting experience
• Extensive knowledge of surface preparation, coatings, primers, stains, and finishes
• Experience with drywall repair, patching, caulking, and wall preparation
• Ability to operate lifts, scaffolding, and other painting equipment safely
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and industry best practices
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and work orders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising or mentoring other painters
• Experience with specialty coatings, epoxy systems, and decorative finishes
• Strong knowledge of color matching and finish application techniques
• Ability to estimate materials, labor, and project durations
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
