About the role
Acts Construction is seeking qualified candidates for their Master Painter / Foreman position. This role involves performing routine to complex surface preparation, selecting appropriate paint materials, and applying various application techniques to achieve a high-quality finish. Responsibilities also include removing old finishes, prepping surfaces for painting, applying multiple coats of primer, paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer, assisting with material ordering, estimating paint needs, coordinating schedules, maintaining supply inventory, and potentially leading teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform surface preparation and select appropriate paint materials
- Apply coats of primer, paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect surfaces
- Assist with ordering paint materials, estimating amounts needed, and coordinating schedules
- Maintain inventory of supplies, including paint brushes, tarps, chemicals, etc.
- Operate as team lead and provide direction to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 7-10 years of painting experience
- Construction or maintenance related experience preferred
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
