About the role

The Master Mariner Instructor is responsible for teaching navigation, seamanship, and maritime law to aspiring mariners. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Master Mariner and a valid U.S. Merchant Marine Credential.

Responsibilities

• Teach navigation, seamanship, and maritime law to students
• Develop and implement training programs
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Ensure all training sessions comply with regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Master Mariner
• Valid U.S. Merchant Marine Credential
• Excellent communication and teaching skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies or related field
• Knowledge of international maritime laws and regulations
• Experience with maritime safety and security protocols
