Responsibilities

  • Provide a variety of spa treatments, including but not limited to massages, body scrubs, wraps, and other therapeutic or wellness services in spa, in guest room, pool side and gaming floor.
  • Customize treatments to suit individual guest needs, preferences, and any specific requests or contraindications.
  • Follow treatment protocols and techniques as per the spa’s standards to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all services, treatments, products, and promotions to recommend appropriate services to guests.
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and relaxation of guests throughout their treatment.
  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
  • Conduct pre-treatment consultations with guests to understand their needs, preferences, and any special concerns regarding health conditions or allergies.
  • Provide recommendations for home-care products to enhance treatment benefits and offer advice on skincare and wellness.
  • Communicate with guests during treatments to ensure their comfort and satisfaction, adjusting pressure or techniques as necessary.
  • Respond to guest feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in treatment rooms, including the sanitization of tools, equipment, and linens after each use.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and industry best practices during all treatments, including proper handling and use of spa equipment and expiry dates on products.
  • Stay up to date on the spa’s product offerings, including skincare, massage oils, and wellness products.
  • Actively recommend spa products to guests, providing information on their benefits and usage to enhance post-treatment care.
  • Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked with all necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Report any equipment or supply shortages to the Lead or Spa Manager for timely replenishment.
  • Work effectively with other spa team members, including receptionists, supervisors, and management, to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive team environment.
  • Communicate clearly with team members to ensure that guest preferences, allergies, or special needs are shared and respected during treatment.
  • Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, helpful, and professional attitude with all guests and team members.
  • Initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Adhere and maintain treatment room and equipment cleanliness and hygiene standards as set out by Spa Management.
  • Attend all mandatory trainings scheduled as per training calendar.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings, town halls and briefings as set out by the department or hotel.
  • Complete all services listed on service menu to the highest standards and follow a five-star luxury sequence of service.
  • Use equipment and products provided by the Spa department and treat all items with value and respect.
  • Complete billing and POS in a professional and transparent manner.
  • Adhere to all treatment and operational SOP’s including balancing books, enhancement upselling, product usage, measuring and use and tips policies.
  • Handle guest requests or questions with the upmost professionalism.
  • Follow all grooming and uniform standards as set out by Spa department.
  • Report any guest treatment incidents for example: allergic reactions, bruising or general health issues.
  • Report any hazards, damaged or broken equipment to Lead provider.
  • Support the operations with flexible scheduling and flexible room allocation.

    Qualifications

    • A high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Nationally Certified as a Massage Therapist.
    • Must hold and maintain active Massage Therapist license in state of Nevada.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Massage Therapist.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in luxury hotel spa.
    • Additional certifications in specialized treatments (e.g. Reiki, Lomi Lomi Massage, TCM, Acupressure, Reflexology, Lymphatic drainage, Aromatherapy, hot stone massage) are a plus.
    • Must be detail oriented, friendly, outgoing and have excellent communication skills.
    • Proficient in English for writing, reading and conversational purposes.
    • Basic computer skills are required.
    • Must have a passion for Spa and Wellness industry.

    Additional Requirements

    • Position, including shifts on weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed.
    • Work in a spa environment that may involve exposure to heat, steam, oils, and fragrances.
    • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as massaging, bending, and lifting.
    • Comfortable working in a high-pressure, customer-focused environment.
