Massage Therapist-Spa-Part Time

About the role

The Primary purpose of this position is to administer massage and body treatments.

Responsibilities

• Administer massage and body treatments as appropriate for licensing.
• Stay up-to-date accordingly in the latest developments pertinent to the Spa industry and the department and be well versed and trained in their usage, including product knowledge.
• Prepare the massage, body and hydrotherapy equipment and the daily supplies needed.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
• Must possess the conflict resolution skills necessary to evaluate product and treatment quality and guests complaints.
• Must be able to make sound decisions and ensure the privacy of each guest being sensitive to their needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required and a minimum of 1 year related experience in massage/body therapy desired; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess current licenses and certificates for massage therapy as required by the State, County, and City/Town.
• Computer software skills required.
• Adhere to all the various written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manual memos and oral instructions.
• First Aid/CPR Certified or become certified within 90 days of employment.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
• Must possess the conflict resolution skills necessary to evaluate product and treatment quality and guests complaints.
• Must be able to make sound decisions and ensure the privacy of each guest being sensitive to their needs.

Qualifications

• Physical demands include walking, standing, sitting, using hands and fingers, lifting up to 50 pounds, and reaching with arms and hands.
• The work environment includes occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, wet and/or humid conditions, and outside weather conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Benefits

• $1,000 Sign On Bonus.
• $40,000 - $80,000 Annually.
