Massage Therapist - Dune House Hotel & Spa

About the role

As a Massage Therapist, you will help create meaningful experiences of relaxation, restoration, and well-being for every guest who visits our spa.

Responsibilities

• Administers professional massage and body treatments to our guests.
• Possess a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our spa’s specific massage and body treatment offerings.
• Communicate and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns.
• Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
• Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
• Participate in home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals of 3%.
• Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
• Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.

Requirements

• Hold and maintain a current state license with a minimum of 500 hours of training.
• High School diploma or equivalent and required technical certificates.
• Experience 1 year preferred.

• Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service issues, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
• Must be highly organized and able to pay attention to minute written and verbal details, particularly when performing multiple tasks.
