Massage Therapist (Casual)
About the role
As a Massage Therapist at Fairmont Kea Lani, you will perform massage treatments while maintaining client comfort. You will also handle spa operations, such as body treatments, product knowledge, and retail sales. Your responsibilities include serving as a catalyst to promote spa services, maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment, and participating in other areas of the Spa Operation.
Responsibilities
- Perform massage treatments, including 30, 45, 60, 90, and 120-minute sessions
- Ensure individualized guest service by acknowledging and responding to guest needs and expectations
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, ensuring all equipment is in safe working order
- Participate in other areas of the Spa Operation, such as body treatments, product knowledge, and retail sales
- Stay up-to-date with personal services and skin care products or procedures
- Serve as a point of contact for guests and colleagues regarding menu items, services, and products
- Focus on guest needs, remain calm and courteous at all times
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have one year of previous experience as a Massage Therapist and hold a graduate degree from an accredited school of massage. Additionally, you must possess a state of Hawaii Massage Therapist License and CPR/First Aid certification.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be able to speak, read, and write English fluently. They must also have good communication skills, both verbal and written, and be service-oriented, capable of communicating effectively with all levels of authority.
Skills
You should be able to actively participate in other areas of the Spa Operation, such as body treatments, product knowledge, and retail sales. You should also be able to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the personal services performed and any revisions in the skin care products or procedures used.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $16.00.
Schedule
Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
