Massage Therapist

About the role

A Massage Therapist is responsible for guiding clients through service offerings while helping them choose the types of massages that meet their true needs. Massage Therapists perform massages in a manner that prevents injuries to their own wrists and other parts of their body as well as the guests. They obtain a detailed history from guests regarding their health and maintain confidentiality. They maintain proper sanitation for treatment rooms and tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• A steward of the Woodhouse brand
• Enthusiastic and passionate about your craft
• Willingness to receive training on new procedures
• Perform exemplary services based on Woodhouse protocols
• In this position you will:
• Ensure treatment room and areas are clean and sanitized using approved sanitizing products and procedures
• Maintain proper inventory in treatment rooms
• Remove soiled laundry
• Assist with laundry
• Assist in opening and closing duties
• Perform a variety of massage modalities including deep tissue and hot stone massage
• Perform a variety of body treatments
• Maintain current license according to state rules and regulations
• Report to management any maintenance issues
• Perform Team Member services as part of cross-training education

Education and Experience

• Must have State License required
• Luxury Spa experience preferred
• Experienced Licensed Massage Therapist preferred

Language Skills

• Must have excellent verbal communication skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members

Reasoning Ability

Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals

Physical Demands

• Must be able to be on feet for most of the day
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Must be able to perform multiple services during shift

Classification: Part-Time or Full-Time
