Massage Therapist

About the role

This position is eligible for an 8% PRN Differential Live where others vacation and practice meaningful, patient-centered care in a supportive mountain-town hospital. Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) is seeking a Massage Therapist to join our collaborative, patient-centered care team in a beautiful Salida Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Provide massage therapy services to patients as directed by a Registered Nurse, including but not limited to: Therapeutic soft tissue massage, Manual lymphatic drainage, Reflexology and other approved massage techniques.
• Provide massage services to HRRMC employees through the Wellness Committee, as requested.
• Communicate patient concerns or changes promptly to nursing staff or your immediate supervisor.
• Document all services provided in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Provide massage therapy education to hospital staff and/or the general public as needed.
• Assist nursing staff with non-clinical support tasks as directed, such as: Delivering meals to patients, Answering calls, Transporting blood samples to the laboratory.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of massage therapy.
• Minimum of three (3) years of massage therapy experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• COLORADO STATE MASSAGE THERAPY LICENSE REQUIRED.
• Oncology Massage Therapy Certification preferred.
