Massage Therapist

About the role

The Massage Therapist is a direct representation of FX Studios and plays a critical role in ensuring guests have an exceptional experience. This position requires close collaboration with the General Manager and Spa Team Lead to support daily operations and guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the General Manager and Spa Team Lead to support day-to-day activities and guest needs.
• Create an exceptional experience for guests by following FX Studios' brand standards and protocols.
• Communicate effectively with guests and the Guest Relations team to ensure consistent service and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a friendly and upbeat mood, professional appearance, and conduct that aligns with FX Studios' brand values.
• Follow all company procedures and policies, including safety and sanitation guidelines as per state board regulations.
• Clean and organize designated work areas after each client and at the end of each business day.
• Promote awareness of all FX Studios' services through social media, upselling, and cross-promoting.
• Promote and sell retail products as part of the service offering.
• Achieve weekly and monthly service and retail goals.
• Be available to work varying hours, including nights and weekends, to meet business needs.
• Communicate effectively with guests and teammates, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
• Show knowledge and proficiency in various massage techniques, including Swedish and Deep Tissue.
• Show attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve common goals and objectives.
• Obtain a current license and registration from the Maryland State Board of Massage Therapy Examiners.
• Maintain required continuing education credits.

Requirements

• Licensed and registered by the Maryland State Board of Massage Therapy Examiners.
• Maintain required continuing education credits.
• Current license and registration throughout tenure at FX Studios.
• Maintain a friendly and upbeat mood.
• Follow all company procedures and policies.
• Ensure behavior and personal appearance are clean and professional at all times.
• Greet clients and perform consultations prior to service.
• Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with guests and employees.
• Have excellent safety and sanitation skills as per FX Studios' expectations and state board regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledgeable about all facets of massage therapy.
• Ability to perform consecutive massages, including but not limited to Swedish and Deep Tissue.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in massage therapy.
• Experience working in a spa or similar environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay
