Responsibilities
- Greet each guest in a warm, welcoming and genuine manner.
- Use guests name appropriately.
- Be friendly, helpful and smile; be courteous to all clients, guests and co-workers; and be professional.
- Have complete knowledge of all spa menu items, packages, group functions and special promotions.
- Adhere to all Old Edwards Inn departmental policies and procedures.
- Present a well-groomed, professional appearance. You must be in full uniform while on property or at a work-related event.
- Be punctual and prepared for your day. Adhere to posted schedule and make any schedule requests in writing to the Spa Director at least two weeks in advance.
- Participate in all spa activities including staff meetings, educational events, workshops, inventory or promotions.
- Maintain current licensure and complete additional training as needed to meet licensure requirements.
Qualifications
- Completion of a minimum of 500 hours at an accredited Massage and Body Work School.
- Must have a current North Carolina Massage License.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Previous experience in a hospitality or spa related role is preferred.
- Must be bright, personable and have the ability to get along with others.
- Should be highly service oriented, possess exemplary communication skills and be well organized and self-motivated.
- Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds on a regular basis, and as much as 40 pounds with less frequency, as well as walk on a regular basis, talk, see and hear.
- The employee may occasionally be required to kneel, crouch or bend.
- The work environment described is characteristic of what an employee should encounter while performing the essential functions of the job.
- The noise level in the work environment is frequently at a tone softer than a normal conversation level.
- The employee will be exposed to various types of cleaning chemicals.
