Massage Lead Trainer, Kohler Waters Spa

About the role

Our Kohler Waters Spa team at The American Club Resort offers more than 50 innovative spa services using the healing properties of Earth’s mineral‑rich waters and is one of only 64 five‑star spas worldwide. This full‑time position leads the department while also providing spa services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the department lead with weekly designated administrative time combined with service time.
• Supervise department staff, including performance feedback, goal setting, training and retraining, staff meetings, and associate communication.
• Manage schedules/appointments of associates.
• Conduct interviews, onboard new associates, conduct 90‑day and annual performance reviews, and effectively performance manage associates.
• Assist in managing the department budget by providing data, reports, and documentation.
• Set sales goals for the department and associates to help drive revenue in retail.
• When providing services, operate at or above Level 5 Therapist expectations.
• Ensure all associates meet or exceed the standards and expectations of their assigned roles.
• Serve on the Operations Team and participate in management training sessions and outside educational opportunities.

Requirements

• State of Wisconsin Massage Certificate (required).
• 6+ years’ experience in a licensed field.
• Ability to walk or stand the majority of each shift and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Experience

• Prior luxury spa setting experience (preferred but not required).

Skills

• Acts as lead in respective area within Kohler Waters Spa.
• Participates in new‑hire service training and/or mentoring.
• Participates in spa menu development (research, ideas, drafting SOPs).

Schedule

Full‑time role with shifts on weekdays and weekends between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Pay

Hourly range: $18.30 – $27.50 plus tips/gratuity. The specific rate may vary based on experience, education, and work location.
