About the Role
Operates automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in production processes following operating procedures. Equipment includes mixers, filter presses, dryers, filtering equipment, pumps, and filling machines. Performs quality control analyses to complete in-process batches and identifies variations. Handles processes that may generate high pressure and/or critical reactions, requiring training in hazardous material handling and emergency procedures.
Responsibilities
- Know and follow general company, corporate, and department policies and procedures.
- Apply rubberized mask using provided engineering requirements.
- Lift and move parts using proper lifting and material handling practices.
- Use hand tools and razor knives safely, requiring manual dexterity.
- Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisors, and interact well with co-workers.
- Cross-train in other departments and processes within the same department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge of applications.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English, including simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work in a standing position for up to 10 hours.
- Proficiency in basic shop math and computer experience.
- Safety-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work in a team environment and be shift flexible.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in hot or cold environments.
