Responsibilities

  • Organizes assigned area to ensure ready access to and knowledge of all orders currently in process on a daily basis.
  • Effectively communicates with customer service regarding work that is in the area or coming to the area for processing.
  • Works closely with Production Manager and Supervisor on other shifts/departments to determine daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules.
  • Maintains schedule and discusses labor needs as workload changes.
  • Maintains inventory levels and supplies, communicating back to purchasing as required.
  • Maintains and monitors appropriate documentation on all orders.
  • Organizes work to be done and assigns accordingly, follows dashboard requirements to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Works with supervisor and manager to resolve problems as needed.
  • Trains employees and monitors their performance.
  • Resolves technical problems and challenges by involving the appropriate people to keep production moving and meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Works with appropriate personnel and participates in continuous improvement activities, always looking for new ways to reduce cost, streamline processes, and increase throughput.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • 6+ months of experience in manufacturing.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The majority of work is performed in shop conditions and can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
