Responsibilities
- Works under the direction of the RN and/or Provider.
- Administers quality patient care according to established standards.
- May be required to work in other areas according to skill of staff and acuity of patients.
- Provides exceptional service to all patients and customers.
- Completes daily reassessments for assigned patients and documents findings.
- Updates and implements the plan of care.
- Reinforces patient teaching and family education.
- Administers medications and monitors patients’ responses to medications including intravenous fluids and medications.
- Contributes to the professional development of peers, colleagues, and others (students, orientees).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- LPN IV Cert in the State of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location within 90 days.
- Basic Life Support within 90 days.
- 1 year of Hospital setting.
Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location.
