About the Role

Join our team as an Area Assistant Director of Sales, where you’ll work side-by-side with the Director of Sales to boost occupancy, grow revenue, and ensure the hotels hit their goals. You’ll lead a talented team of Sales Managers, guiding them through direct sales, coaching, and hiring. You’ll also develop budgets, forecasts, and marketing plans to turn big ideas into wins. This role is perfect for someone who loves inspiring others, driving results, and keeping things fun.

This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM), and overtime does apply.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate group, transient, and catering sales to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Lead the sales team to consistently hit targets and create unforgettable events.
• Develop budgets and creative marketing plans to exceed goals.
• Conduct outside sales calls, property tours, and client entertainment while negotiating contracts and building lasting relationships.
• Monitor account performance and market trends to set proactive strategies.
• Inspire, train, and oversee the sales team, including HR and catering responsibilities.
• Step in as acting General Manager to ensure a smooth, collaborative, and fun environment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hotel sales experience preferred; alternatively, a 4-year degree + 1 year of experience or a 2-year degree + 2 years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional selling abilities.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and lead diverse teams.
• Experience with sales and marketing principles, comfortable working with financial data under pressure.
