About the role
This position is for a Marriage and Family Therapist at Wasco State Prison (WSP), located in Wasco, CA, in Kern County.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to inmates.
- Assess and document client progress and needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct intake assessments and ongoing evaluations.
- Develop and deliver group therapy sessions.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Current/Valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
- Experience working with incarcerated populations.
- Knowledge of correctional settings and mental health issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and other professionals.
- Basic understanding of correctional policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
- Completion of a supervised internship or residency program.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

$7,294.00 - $10,378.00 per Month
Schedule
