About the Role
We enhance public safety and promote successful community reintegration through education, treatment, and active participation in rehabilitative and restorative justice programs. This part-time Marriage and Family Therapist position works 20 hours per week.
Pay
The monthly part-time salary range for this position is $3,647.00 to $5,189.00. Effective July 1, 2025, salaries will be reduced by 3% under the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025), with employees receiving 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Part-time and permanent intermittent employees are subject to these conditions on a prorated basis.
Eligible employees may receive a $10,000 one-time recruitment and retention stipend after six months of employment, plus a monthly differential during their first year (totaling $20,000). CDCR/CCHCS employees may qualify for a $5,000 referral bonus if the selected candidate remains employed for 90 days.

Responsibilities
Facilitate the successful reintegration of individuals in our care by providing education, treatment, rehabilitative, and restorative justice programs. Key duties include:
- Delivering marriage and family therapy to incarcerated individuals.
- Supporting drug-free, healthy, and employable reentry into society.
- Collaborating with institutional, parole, and community partners to promote safety, wellness, and human dignity.
- Participating in systemwide improvements grounded in proven and emerging practices to strengthen rehabilitation and workplace satisfaction.
