Marketing & Sponsorships Assistant (Temporary Role)

About the Role

Momivate is seeking a volunteer Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing ChairMom in promoting the Mothering Convention. This role involves outreach to media outlets, securing sponsorships, and building connections with vendors and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Promotes the convention in various capacities from fliers to emails to radio, newspaper, & TV exposure (including press releases)
• Approaches media outlets to request sponsorships – creates proposals and follows through on their agreements
• Brainstorms and acts on connections through vendors/sponsors
• Ability to approach and secure marketing opportunities
• Basic understanding of marketing and branding, including social media
• Strong and clear communication skills

Time Commitment & Expectations

• Dedicate a minimum of 3 hours per week to duties and outreach
• Attend weekly meeting with Mothering Convention Team
• Attend Mothering Convention all day event, October 10, 2026 in Sandy, Utah
• Communicate proactively if circumstances impact your ability to fulfill responsibilities
