What we do

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, we are hiring a Marketing Specialist to help redefine how Emphasys PHA shows up in the public housing industry. As our new Marketing Specialist, you will take ownership of our marketing presence across channels, campaigns, events, email, social media, and digital content. You will build awareness among housing authorities, industry influencers, government stakeholders, and prospective clients, helping us reach audiences we have historically underserved while strengthening engagement with existing customers.

What you bring

  • The modern marketing expertise. You have experience in B2B, SaaS, technology, or a similarly complex environment where you have been responsible for building awareness, generating demand, executing campaigns, and measuring results.
  • The storyteller's mindset. You know how to turn complex ideas into compelling stories that capture attention and drive engagement. More importantly, you know what makes content resonate. Whether created by a person or generated by AI, you can identify what is missing, refine the message, and ensure it reflects the voice, values, and goals of the organization.
  • The curiosity and adaptability. You are naturally inquisitive and enjoy understanding how things work. You ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions, and seek out new approaches. You are excited by emerging technologies, evolving platforms, and changing audience behaviors.
  • The ability to thrive in ambiguity. You are comfortable moving forward without perfect information. You know how to balance strategy with action, launching campaigns, gathering insights, and refining your approach as you learn. You are resourceful, decisive, and able to make progress in environments where priorities evolve and opportunities emerge quickly.
  • The AI fluency. You view AI as a strategic tool rather than a shortcut. You understand how to leverage AI to accelerate research, content creation, campaign development, and operational efficiency while applying critical thinking, creativity, and sound judgment to ensure quality outcomes.
  • The campaign and demand generation experience. You have experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across channels, including email, digital marketing, social media, events, content marketing, and marketing automation.
  • The relationship-building and communication skills. You are an exceptional communicator who can collaborate effectively across teams and levels of an organization.
  • The ownership and accountability. You are highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.

What’s next?

This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the United States. Candidates should be able to maintain reasonable overlap with Eastern Time business hours to support collaboration with colleagues, clients, and industry partners.

What you can expect from our interview process:

  • A virtual interview with a Talent Advisor to discuss your interest in the role and organization.
  • A virtual interview with the Director of Sales & Marketing. This conversation will focus on your approach to marketing strategy, brand building, demand generation, and storytelling. As part of the discussion, we will explore a real-world marketing challenge and ask you to walk us through how you would approach it. We are less interested in finding a perfect answer and more interested in understanding how you think, evaluate opportunities, leverage technology and AI, make decisions with imperfect information, and adapt based on results.
  • A final virtual interview with the General Manager & CEO. This conversation will focus on your communication style, leadership potential, cultural alignment, and ability to contribute to the continued growth and evolution of Emphasys. We will discuss your approach to innovation, collaboration, and the impact you hope to make in the role.
