Job Overview
The Managed Marketing Sales Development Representative is an entry-level, 100% outbound sales role responsible for generating interest, qualifying prospects, and creating new opportunities for Impact’s Managed Marketing services.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify new business opportunities for Impact’s Managed Marketing services through 100% outbound cold calling, cold email, social outreach, and sales engagement platforms — every conversation starts cold
- Research target accounts to identify companies that may need support with marketing strategy, digital presence, campaign execution, creative services, or lead generation
- Initiate conversations with marketing, sales, and business leaders to understand potential needs and determine fit for Managed Marketing solutions
- Consistently book 15 qualified meetings per month — this is the core metric this role is measured against
- Conduct initial discovery conversations to uncover business priorities, current marketing challenges, and areas where Impact may be able to help
- Hand off every qualified meeting directly to the Executive Marketing Consultant (EMC) with clean notes and context for a seamless transition into the sales process
- Maintain accurate and timely activity, notes, lead status, and follow-ups within the CRM system
- Work directly with the President on call reviews, messaging refinement, and hands-on coaching — this role is built on fast, direct feedback and rapid skill development
Qualifications & Experience
- Hightly coachable — takes feedback well, applies it immediately without ego, and improves fast in a high-repetition training environment; this matters more to us than prior experience
- 0–2 years of experience in sales, customer service, marketing, business development, or another client-facing role
- Interest in building a career in sales, marketing services, or business development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be clear, professional, and persistent in outreach
- Genuine resilience — comfortable with high-volume cold outreach, frequent rejection, and daily activity goals; treats every “no” as data, not a verdict
- Familiarity with digital marketing, websites, branding, content, paid media, SEO, or lead generation is helpful but not required
- Experience using CRM systems, sales engagement platforms, or prospecting tools is a plus
- Self-motivated, organized, and eager to grow within a fast-paced sales environment
