Responsibilities

  • Serve as a passionate brand ambassador within the MR PORTER team, representing the brand with confidence and credibility.
  • Partner with MR PORTER's PR Manager to drive earned media presence across North America, securing impactful coverage aligned with key commercial priorities.
  • Develop strategic relationships with editors, journalists, stylists, influencers, and emerging media contacts across the US and Canada.
  • Stay ahead of evolving platforms, cultural trends, and conversations across fashion, luxury, culture, and lifestyle.
  • Support the monthly PR strategy and pitching calendar, encompassing key launches, new arrivals, campaigns, and editorial moments.
  • Support the planning and execution of MR PORTER brand and client events, press activations, and brand experiences across North America, contributing to guest list development, programming, and onsite execution.
  • Act as a liaison with external vendors, brand and event partners to provide clear communication and seamless event project execution.
  • Maintain and continuously develop a comprehensive North American media database spanning traditional press, social media, content creators, and Substack authors.
  • Support VIP dressing, press loans, influencer research and loans, gifting, and image requests to ensure seamless execution and timely deliveries.
  • Handle budget processes: vendor registration, POs, invoicing, payments, and month-end reconciliations, serving as main POC with Finance, Accounts Payable etc..
  • Provide general marketing, administrative, and project management support as required, including meeting coordination, agenda development, scheduling shipments and/or couriers, presentation creation, note-taking, and timely follow-up communications.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of PR experience within luxury fashion or a comparable premium lifestyle environment, ideally in the US market.
  • A genuine passion for and understanding of the luxury menswear industry, with a finger on the pulse of culture, style and emerging media trends.
  • Comfortable owning their own responsibilities while also rolling up their sleeves on the day-to-day.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external partners.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player who works well across functions and time zones.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel; experience with PR coverage tools is a plus.
  • A proactive self-starter with initiative, good judgement and a positive, solutions-focused attitude.

Pay

Compensation for this role is $28.00 - $33.00 per hour depending on experience.
