About the role

Join an elite student ambassador team at Grand Canyon University Hospitality. This position involves communicating with parents and students about the benefits of enrolling in a meal plan and the dining options on campus. You’ll work with a team to reach sales goals and support the marketing department in maintaining customer satisfaction and retaining meal plan members. Hours may vary and include evenings and some weekends. We are hiring only five students, so we’re looking for the best of the best!

Responsibilities

• Assist in tabling events and activities around campus to sell meal plans
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive student peer relationships
• Reach out to customer leads through cold emailing and calling
• Be knowledgeable about the meal plan structure, monetary value, and overall benefits of eating on campus
• Present information to customers and answer questions regarding dining services
• Participate in a sales team to host sales events all year long (summer work is a possibility for high-performing team members)

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.

Requirements

• Must be a current Grand Canyon University undergraduate student with sophomore standing or higher
• Customer service mindset and attitude
• Open to taking direction and willing to learn new skills
• Currently enrolled in a Marketing Program
• Comfortable appearing on camera for social media and promotional content
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals

This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
