Position Overview

Hornets Sports & Entertainment are seeking a part-time Marketing Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels. This role serves as a key operational partner to the marketing team, helping ensure campaigns are delivered on time, assets are organized, stakeholders are aligned, and reporting is maintained.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Aid with the execution and fulfillment of marketing campaigns including group, premium and other ticketing campaigns.
  • Cook up project timelines, deliverables, and approvals across Marketing, Creative, Digital, Ticket Sales, and other pertinent business units.
  • Facilitate the production and distribution of marketing assets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
  • Support the development and maintenance of marketing calendars, campaign trackers, and project management systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate stakeholder meetings and craft recap notes.
  • Maintain organized records of marketing assets, creative files, contracts, and operational documentation.
  • Compile campaign performance reports and assist with tracking key marketing metrics and outcomes.
  • Aid in the creation of post-campaign recaps and presentations.
  • Afford support to the Marketing department as needed.
  • Participate in game nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as required by the sports and entertainment calendar.

Required Skills, Experience And Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Business, or related field.
  • Must be able to work part-time hours, including select evenings, weekends, holidays, and game-day events as scheduled.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Highly motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to lift and transport marketing materials (25–50 lbs) as needed.
