AWS Developer Experience is seeking a Marketing Manager to own the end-to-end marketing strategy and digital presence for the AWS Builder Loft program globally. Builder Lofts are physical developer community spaces where builders gather for hands-on workshops, hackathons, technical talks, and networking. This role drives awareness and sustained audience growth through data-driven campaigns, compelling content, and seamless integration between physical and digital engagement.

About the role

This high-impact role requires a marketer who combines strong storytelling with multi-channel marketing experience, thinks globally while executing locally, and understands developer communities. You will build marketing playbooks, mechanisms, and scalable frameworks to ensure consistency and efficiency for a fast-growing global program. Leveraging AI tools and automation, you will multiply impact, move faster, and continuously improve marketing performance. Cross-functional collaboration with PR, community, events, developer advocacy, and product teams across geographies is essential to build repeatable strategies for a rapidly scaling program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Loft promotion strategy across AWS-owned and third-party email programs, social media, web, and grassroots channels to drive awareness, event registration/attendance, and returning visitors.
  • Manage event registration platforms and ensure seamless data flow to marketing CRMs, maintaining data integrity and enabling automated nurture workflows.
  • Own the content calendar for the Builder Loft content series, showcasing Loft experiences, builder stories, and hands-on learning opportunities. Coordinate with team members and external partners to drive content creation and ensure editorial quality.
  • Track and report on marketing KPIs, including registration conversion rates, email open/click rates, social media engagement, content reach, and web monthly active users.
  • Conduct demographic and cohort analysis of Loft attendees to inform programming and outreach decisions. Identify trends in audience composition, repeat attendance, and engagement patterns.
  • Coordinate with AWS PR teams on high-profile event announcements, ensuring consistent messaging and maximum media impact.
  • Lead localization efforts, adapting marketing materials, campaigns, and content for local markets while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Design the strategy to move builders from initial awareness and in-person attendance into sustained always-on digital engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Community & Partnerships Manager on community channel promotion and co-marketing with partners. Work effectively across AWS with groups such as developer advocacy, digital marketing, field marketing, sales, and startup teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Experience designing and producing content for a technical audience, such as Software Engineers, System Administrators, or IT professionals.
  • Experience analyzing digital marketing campaigns, patterns, and data trends to determine business objectives and lead optimization recommendations.
  • Experience managing event registration or marketing automation platforms (e.g., Cvent, Marketo, HubSpot, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a global company, with multi-country responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools to drive efficiency, personalization, and scale.
  • Familiarity with community-led growth strategies and grassroots marketing.
  • Experience in event marketing.
  • Experience coordinating with PR teams on product launches or location openings.
