About the role
The Marketing Manager for Advancement leads the design and execution of all integrated marketing campaigns and communication efforts for the Office of Advancement at Fairfield University. This role involves working across various giving groups to lead the strategy, development, execution, and assessment of integrated marketing and communications plans to align with the University’s strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative/innovative brand integration strategies for the Advancement team to support overall goals with a focus on compelling marketing campaigns as well as informational, promotional, and public relations projects.
- Oversee day-to-day marketing and communications activities for Advancement.
- Oversee and coordinate marketing and communications for Fairfield Bellarmine across web, print, social media, events, and related channels.
- Oversee production schedules and communication timelines for various projects, tracking budgets and deliverables.
- Manage the development of collateral, promotional plans, and signature University events.
- Define and track key performance metrics and ROI for all efforts.
- Manage the creation and development of content for collateral, press releases, e-communications, website, social media, and other related marketing and communication efforts.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal departments.
- Provide consistent and measurable reporting on a monthly and annual cadence.
- Participate in the professional development of the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of marketing, project management and/or non-profit experience, including project management and strategy development.
- Excellent client/project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong editing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- The ability to effectively present ideas.
- Experience managing the development of both digital and print materials.
- Detail-oriented, with high standards for brand, messaging and quality.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of constituents across campus.
Qualifications
- Good sense for visual appeal of marketing materials, design, and photography.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in higher education, nonprofit, or a highly matrixed organization.
