Responsibilities
- Develop clinically accurate, commercially effective content and tools that support the sales team, healthcare professionals, patients and Exagen’s broader marketing objectives.
- Translate complex scientific information into clear, compelling, and compliant communications.
- Develop clinical and product content, including brochures, presentations, sales tools, website copy, training materials, emails, and disease-state education.
- Partner with Sales to identify field needs, customer questions, content gaps, and sales enablement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Clinical Affairs and Medical Affairs to ensure scientific accuracy and appropriate clinical context.
- Act as a cross-functional facilitator, bringing together Sales, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to align priorities, clarify requirements, reconcile feedback, and move projects efficiently from concept through approval and launch.
- Manage materials through medical, regulatory, legal, and compliance review.
- Support product launches, campaigns, and conferences.
- Maintain consistent product claims, positioning, terminology, and references across materials.
- Lead projects from initial concept through review, production, launch, and measurement.
- Manage external writers, designers, agencies, and vendors as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.
- Minimum five or more years of healthcare, diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device marketing experience.
- Experience developing clinical or scientific content for healthcare professionals.
- Experience partnering with sales teams and creating sales enablement materials.
- Strong writing, editing, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to interpret and communicate clinical data and peer-reviewed research.
- Experience working with Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, or Compliance teams.
- Experience in diagnostics, autoimmune disease, rheumatology, immunology, or laboratory medicine is preferred.
Pay
Pay Range: $120,000.00-$160,000.00
