Key Responsibilities
- Lead the firm's marketing and business development strategy.
- Drive AI search visibility initiatives across platforms such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude.
- Manage and optimize the firm's CRM platform (InterAction preferred).
- Support partners with business development planning, pipeline management, and relationship-building initiatives.
- Develop and manage the firm's editorial content calendar.
- Oversee website strategy, content updates, and brand positioning.
- Coordinate legal directory submissions, including Chambers, Best Lawyers, and Lawdragon.
- Plan and execute client events, CLE programs, sponsorships, conferences, retreats, and networking initiatives.
- Create and oversee marketing analytics, reporting, and ROI measurement.
- Manage marketing vendors, budgets, and departmental operations.
- Supervise and mentor the Marketing Assistant.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of progressive marketing experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience within a law firm environment (required).
- Experience supporting attorney and partner-level business development initiatives.
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills.
- Experience with CRM platforms, preferably InterAction.
- Advanced proficiency utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude.
- Experience managing websites, content strategy, and professional services branding.
- Event planning and execution experience, including conferences, retreats, webinars, and client-facing programs.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
Additional Firm Requirements
- Law firm experience is mandatory.
- Candidates with defense-side law firm experience are strongly preferred.
- Stable employment history is critical.
- Candidates with repeated short-term tenures (1-2 years per employer) will not be considered.
- Los Angeles candidates are preferred.
- Exceptional candidates located near the firm's New York or Silicon Valley offices may be considered.
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
- Strong communication, business development, and executive-facing skills required.
