Marketing Manager Full-Time | Hybrid | Phoenix, AZ Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000; DOE Bonus: Eligible to participate in the firm's quarterly performance bonus program Strategy Financial Group is an independent financial services firm dedicated to building long-term, trusted relationships with our clients. We take a thoughtful, personalized approach to financial planning, combining strategy, clarity, and genuine care. We are seeking a hands-on Marketing Manager who can translate strategy into execution, bring order to a high volume of projects, and lead with sound judgment. This person will manage the day-to-day work of a small marketing team while remaining actively involved in execution. Help Us Build the Marketing Department of the Future This isn’t a traditional Marketing Manager role. We’re looking for a tactical, hands-on player-coach who can lead a small marketing team, manage a high volume of simultaneous projects, and think like a leader while remaining closely involved in the work, improving the department through stronger processes, technology, and automation. You’ll work closely with our Chief Marketing Officer, who owns long-term marketing strategy, positioning, and growth initiatives. You will translate that strategy into organized plans, clear accountability, and consistent execution. For the right person, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact on a growing organization. Why Work at Strategy Financial Group Quarterly firm-performance bonus opportunity Weekly half-day Fridays supporting work-life balance Hybrid work environment with regular in-person collaboration A culture of trust, autonomy, and ownership Professional, collaborative, and people-first environment Opportunity to influence and improve a growing marketing department Stable, growing firm with long-term career opportunity What You’ll Do Oversee the day-to-day operations of the marketing department and a small marketing team Turn strategic priorities into clear project plans with defined owners, timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and accountability Manage a high volume of concurrent initiatives across events, digital marketing, communications, content, creative, and company-wide projects Own and continuously improve marketing project-management systems, workflows, technology, and automations Identify practical uses of AI and automation that improve productivity, quality, and scalability Provide oversight for a marketing operation supporting 200+ events annually, including attending approximately six events per quarter Review marketing communications and creative materials for messaging, accuracy, brand consistency, and overall quality Maintain working knowledge across digital advertising, social media, email automation, SEO/AEO, website/CMS, content marketing, and video/YouTube Ensure marketing dashboards, CRM data, campaign results, and reporting processes are accurate and dependable Manage day-to-day relationships with selected agencies, technology vendors, and marketing partners Step into execution personally when needed; this is a hands-on leadership role, not a manage-from-the-sidelines position Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, or an equivalent combination of experience demonstrating increasing responsibility Demonstrated experience managing people and leading complex, concurrent projects Proven success building, implementing, or substantially improving marketing operations, workflows, or project-management systems Broad digital-marketing fluency across multiple channels Strong marketing and creative judgment Excellent editing, proofreading, and quality-control skills Strong organizational, prioritization, project-management, and problem-solving abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and follow-through Willingness to remain hands-on in execution while leading others Must reside in the Phoenix metropolitan area and be available for regular in-person collaboration in a hybrid work environment Ability and willingness to attend approximately six company events per quarter, including events that may occur outside standard business hours Preferred Qualifications Strong working knowledge of marketing technology, automation, and project-management tools Experience implementing, managing, or improving a CRM and/or marketing automation ecosystem; experience with Salesforce/Pardot, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar platforms is valuable Demonstrated experience using AI or automation to materially improve a business workflow, process, or team function Financial-services experience is not required. We can teach you our industry and compliance environment; leadership, judgment, accountability, and learning agility are more important. Who Thrives in This Role You create order in a fast-moving environment. You prioritize quickly, establish accountability, anticipate problems, and reliably get important work across the finish line. You’ll thrive here if you are: Calm under pressure. Changing priorities and urgent requests don’t derail you. Highly accountable. When something goes wrong, you focus on fixing it and preventing it from happening again. Independent and resourceful. You troubleshoot before escalating and bring recommendations, not just problems. Confident and collaborative. You listen attentively, communicate honestly, challenge ideas appropriately, and are receptive when your own ideas are challenged. Highly reliable. People don’t need to chase you for updates or follow-through. Coachable and quick to learn. You absorb feedback, understand the underlying lesson, and apply it going forward. Technology-minded. You’re genuinely interested in making teams better through smarter systems, emerging technology, AI, and automation. People-first. You know how to establish expectations and hold people accountable while still treating them with respect. Make a Meaningful Impact You'll work directly with an experienced Chief Marketing Officer, take on meaningful responsibility, and influence how a growing organization builds its marketing operation. This role is ideal for someone energized by building better systems, developing people, and turning important ideas into consistent execution. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
