Marketing Manager
About the role
The Marketing Manager supports IEDA's mission to make Iowa the choice for people and business by delivering strategic tourism marketing initiatives that promote the state as a compelling destination to visit, live, and work.
Responsibilities
- Managing tourism marketing programs by coordinating partner-based initiatives, overseeing timelines and deliverables, and supporting program evaluation and improvement.
- Executing marketing campaigns and projects, serving as a project manager for assigned initiatives such as digital campaigns and publications, while coordinating vendors, partners, and internal teams.
- Developing compelling content by writing and editing marketing materials across platforms and traveling throughout Iowa to capture stories and promote tourism assets.
Requirements
- Experience working with tourism, destination marketing, or economic development initiatives.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing marketing or media-focused content.

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in public relations, business, journalism, marketing, or a closely related field and experience equal to two years of full-time work planning and developing content for media dissemination; OR
- A total of six years of education and/or full-time experience, where 30 semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in a related field equals one year of full-time experience.

- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
