About the role

Adaptive Sports Ohio’s mission is to give individuals with disabilities a chance to play. Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Community-Based Programs, the Marketing Manager will administer the organization’s marketing and advertising from the Wooster office.

Responsibilities

  • Deliberate planning, strategy, and goal setting of marketing initiatives
  • Development of brand awareness and online reputation
  • Content management across social media, website, and newsletter

Content Management Duties

  • Create and administer a regular publishing schedule for relevant, original, high-quality content
  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities, including:
    • Developing relevant content topics to reach the organization’s target audience
    • Creating, curating, and managing all published content (images, video, and written)
    • Monitoring, listening, and responding to users while cultivating relationships
    • Overseeing brand uniformity in design (social media graphics, website, newsletter, blog posts, etc.)
    • Analyzing key metrics and adjusting strategy as needed
    • Compiling reports for management showing results (ROI) as requested
    • Acting as an advocate for the organization in social media spaces
    • Implementing ongoing education to remain effective and monitoring trends in marketing, social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy
    • Analyzing campaigns and translating anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media and content marketing

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future athletes, donors, and volunteers
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in a related field; marketing degree welcomed but not required with relevant work experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing
  • Creativity and documented immersion in social media
  • Proficiency in content marketing theory and application
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and their respective participants
  • Excellent writing and language skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format
  • Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (content development, creation and editing of content, online reputation management)
  • Functional knowledge and/or personal experience with WordPress
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
