Marketing Manager
About the role
We're looking for a Marketing Manager to run the day-to-day of the marketing team — the people, the tasks, the deadlines — and make the department measurably more effective and efficient. This is a management role, not a strategy role. Direction is set by the CMO. Your job is to take that direction and make it happen: organize the work, assign it to the right people, track it to completion, and keep everyone moving without constant oversight from leadership. You are the operational backbone of the department — the person who makes sure the team runs. If you're quick to solve problems, thrive on juggling many things at once, and get genuine satisfaction from a well-run team hitting its deadlines, this is your role.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day workload of the marketing team (content, social, research, email, paid)
- Track attendance and ensure the team is present, productive, and accountable
- Assign tasks and decide who works on what, balancing skill, capacity, and deadlines
- Own deadlines across the department and keep the team hitting them
- Run the operational cadence: check-ins, progress tracking, and reporting to the CMO
- Identify and remove blockers quickly
- Manage workload and capacity so no one is overloaded and nothing slips
- Continuously improve how the department operates — making it faster and more effective
- Support the performance, growth, and morale of the team, including a Marketing Assistant reporting to this role
Requirements
- Proven experience managing people in a marketing, creative, or content team — this is the heart of the job
- Fast, resourceful problem-solver — you unblock issues before they escalate
- Strong at handling multiple priorities simultaneously without dropping anything
- Excellent task and project management — you turn a stream of incoming work into a clear plan of who does what, by when
- Strong coordination and communication skills across varied functions
- Organized, reliable, and calm under volume
- Comfortable executing against a strategy set by others rather than owning it yourself
- Solid general grasp of digital marketing — enough to manage the work intelligently
Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of experience.
