Marketing Manager
Daily Tasks
- Develop and oversee marketing campaigns that support content initiatives, advertising partnerships, audience growth, and revenue objectives.
- Lead the market's marketing and promotional efforts while aligning initiatives with ESPN Cleveland and Good Karma's objectives.
- Collaborate with Content, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teammates to develop and implement marketing strategies, activation opportunities, and promotional initiatives that support partner success and fan engagement.
- Lead market events, partner activations, remote broadcasts, and promotional initiatives while ensuring exceptional fan and partner experiences.
- Develop creative marketing ideas, activation strategies, and promotional opportunities that help ESPN Cleveland partners and market initiatives achieve their goals.
- Lead, coach, and develop Marketing Event Supervisors and interns through recruiting, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Serve as the market's Teammate Ambassador, helping foster an engaging workplace culture aligned with Good Karma's values.
- Establish priorities, timelines, and workflows for marketing projects and initiatives while ensuring successful execution and alignment with market objectives.
- Utilize AI tools and emerging technologies to improve marketing effectiveness, workflow efficiency, communication, and execution.
- Oversee promotional contesting, including contest rules, compliance, fulfillment processes, and overall execution.
- Oversee marketing resources, promotional assets, activation materials, and vendor relationships to support market initiatives and operational readiness.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, collaboration, and execution across the market.
- Support market-wide initiatives, community engagement efforts, and special projects that contribute to brand growth and business success.
- Serve as a Good Karma ambassador by demonstrating the company's core values: Listen, Be Honest, Follow Through, Work Hard, Overdeliver, and Teamwork.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years previous experience in marketing, promotions, events, media, sports, or a related field.
- Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and motivate teammates preferred.
- Experience planning and executing marketing campaigns, events, promotions, and activations.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, communication, campaign execution, and project management while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality execution.
- Personal accountability, initiative, and willingness to accept and provide feedback.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- The position will be required to work some evenings and weekends.
Hours/Salary/Benefits
This is an exempt role with a competitive base salary. This role is eligible for full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) Plan, Dependent Care, paid parental leave, and more with opportunities for salary growth increase with skills and responsibilities and meeting targeted goals.
The position will be required to work some evenings and weekends.
