About the role

The Marketing Manager directs, oversees, and manages all corporate marketing activities, developing and executing a marketing program with long-range goals and short-term objectives. This role ensures effective communication of the brand, supports the company’s vision, and drives customer acquisition and retention through various communication channels, including proposals, web, and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee management of marketing communications and graphic design, leveraging the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in design, social media, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with vendors (e.g., marketing firms, agencies, designers, printers) to ensure timely completion of marketing projects.
  • Communicate marketing initiatives, programs, and promotions to leadership and market sector teams.
  • Use analytical skills to identify and forecast trends and challenges.
  • Manage and execute key client and market sector events.
  • Support market-sector and lead-generation efforts.
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns.
  • Evaluate competitors and develop lessons learned and best practices.
  • Identify and communicate key competitive advantages.
  • Develop departmental best practices, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Manage the production and content development of key company deliverables, such as RFQs and RFPs.
  • Manage department budgets and costs in support of goals and objectives.
  • Lead at least one team member, including hiring, development, performance management, and engagement.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned to achieve team objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a marketing role with increasing responsibility, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with sound professional judgment.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Adept in media relations.
  • Budget management skills and proficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, and develop materials for varied campaigns, projects, and programs (e.g., proposals, presentations, promotional programs, networking events).
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated history of working with external partners (media, B2B, agencies) in support of strategic marketing efforts.
  • Experience with database utilization and development (e.g., Cosential, Deltek, or similar).

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a professional office environment. The role is primarily stationary, involving prolonged standing or sitting while using standard office equipment. Communication with internal and external contacts is required. May occasionally push, pull, or lift up to 25 lbs.

Travel Requirements

Some level of driving is required for this position.
