General Summary
The Marketing Manager serves as the strategic marketing lead for all worship-related experiences, sermon series campaigns, stewardship initiatives, and generosity-focused communications. This role bridges worship, ministry, finance, and communications teams to create compelling stories, experiences, and campaigns that inspire spiritual engagement, attendance, discipleship, and biblical generosity.
The ideal candidate is both a marketing strategist and ministry-minded leader who understands how to communicate vision, create meaningful engagement opportunities, and support the church's mission through creative storytelling and data-driven marketing efforts.
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Build and execute integrated 360-degree marketing campaigns across: Social Media, Website, Email Marketing, Mobile App, SMS/Text Messaging, Print Communications, Worship Announcements, Paid Advertising
- Develop campaign timelines and communication calendars
- Cook up cross-functional teams to ensure successful campaign execution
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations
Content Development & Storytelling
- Identify and capture stories of life transformation related to worship engagement and generosity
- Collaborate with video, photography, and content teams to produce: Testimonial videos, Member stories, Giving impact stories, Ministry celebration content
- Maintain a consistent voice and brand across all worship and stewardship communications
Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Manage digital marketing efforts that increase attendance, engagement, and giving participation
- Analyze campaign effectiveness using: Website analytics, Email metrics, Social media analytics, Giving participation data
- Create monthly performance reports and recommendations
- Utilize audience segmentation strategies to improve engagement and campaign performance
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with: Worship Team, Production Team, Finance Team, Ministry Leaders, Executive Leadership
- Lead project meetings and campaign planning sessions
- Supervise volunteers, contractors, or assigned marketing team members
- Train ministry leaders on effective communication and promotional strategies
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Public Relations, or related field preferred
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand management
- Experience leading integrated marketing campaigns
- Church, nonprofit, ministry, or faith-based organization experience preferred
- Experience supporting fundraising, stewardship, or donor engagement initiatives strongly preferred

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Worship: Worship attendance growth, Sermon series engagement, Event registration and attendance, Website traffic to worship-related content, Social media engagement
- Marketing: Email open and click-through rates, Campaign ROI, Audience reach and engagement, Conversion rates on digital campaigns
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, Ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, church leaders, and external partners, Skilled facilitator of meetings and collaborative discussions
Physical Requirements
- Primarily works in a typical office or sanctuary environment, is generally sedentary, and uses computers, calculators, phones, and other office equipment to draft documents, communicate with church staff, and fulfill other position duties
- Required to walk, hear, speak, and stand to conduct sermons and minister to the members (both at the main church and at remote locations)
- Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through both complex church business situations and profound personal crises that members may experience is required
- A flexible schedule is required since this position requires evening and weekend work due to scheduled events
Travel Requirements
- A valid Texas driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record is required
