Marketing Manager
Responsibilities
- Supporting the AMDM team’s marketing efforts as outlined in their strategic plan.
- Participating in relevant monthly team meetings and working with Team Leaders to identify and pursue client opportunities and reputation building activities.
- Maintaining a strong knowledge of the legal market and the DADM group capabilities of the Firm nationwide.
- Staying abreast of relevant client news and business/industry issue trends.
- Managing relevant RFP/proposal responses and pitch meeting preparations.
- Planning and executing group client events.
- Working closely with the Public Relations team to identify and leverage media opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate and effective web content, publishing client alerts, and supporting Firm blogs.
- Assisting with Chambers, Legal 500, and other submissions to rankings and directories.
- Managing the production of marketing collateral.
- Maintaining the Experience Database for significant matters.
- Assisting with the integration of lateral attorneys.
- Liaising regularly with the BD & Marketing Department as a whole, the AMDM, ETECH, PGTT and other practice teams, and attorneys and team leaders of the DADM practice group.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in professional services marketing.
- Law firm experience highly desirable.
- Interactive marketing experience is a plus for online activities.
- Strong analytical and communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to speak effectively and respond to common inquiries or complaints from all levels of professional and support staff, clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Demonstrated success strengthening corporate reputations and client relationships.
- Prioritizing and managing major projects, coordinating the use of department resources, and involving senior management.
- Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
About the role
This position will be a point of contact for marketing activity related to the DADM group, and an integral part of the Business Development & Marketing department as a whole. This role will primarily support the DADM group’s Advertising, Marketing and Digital Media (AMDM) team; provide cross-selling support to the Emerging Technology (ETECH) and Privacy Governance and Tech Transactions (PGTT) teams; and assist with other group duties as assigned.
