About the Role
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the center’s marketing plan in support of the property’s strategic goals. They will ensure JLL’s marketing platforms (Marketing for Leasing, Marketing for Sales, Marketing for Revenue), tools, and Core Practices are effectively employed to drive results and maximize client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the annual marketing plan for the property based on strategic goals.
- Create and monitor the annual marketing budget, including monthly reforecasting and adjustments to meet year-end projections.
- Analyze center sales and statistical data, prepare financial reports, and oversee on-property events and activations.
- Manage public relations, media buying, traditional and digital media, and document program results.
- Develop and execute sales promotions, special events, and communication strategies to drive tenant sales through an annual calendar of events.
- Partner with tenants, especially "key retailers," to maximize store sales through communications, promotions, and visual merchandising.
- Work with the Regional Marketing Manager to implement corporate programs applicable to the center.
- Manage the center’s digital media programs (social media, mobile, web), including oversight of a digital media agency.
- Utilize market and consumer research to support the marketing plan and leasing efforts.
- Support the leasing team by compiling information and creating professional sales materials.
- Maintain knowledge of the trade area, including competitive properties, demographics, and available media.
- Partner with specialty leasing to develop local and corporate ancillary income opportunities.
- Review monthly sales reports to track retailer sales and key trends.
- Represent the property and JLL in community activities and develop a public relations action plan.
- Follow corporate policies and procedures for all programs and events.
- Collaborate with the property team and regional resources to achieve client-driven business goals while adhering to JLL’s Core Practices.
- Communicate with the client and regional team members regarding sales narratives, key retailer reports, and marketing results.
- Provide leadership, feedback, coaching, and career development to employees to help them achieve performance objectives.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Customer Service Center (where applicable).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in retail, marketing, advertising, hospitality, or a comparable business.
- Complete knowledge of Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn employer-specific web-based software systems.
- Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals and market research.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Experience in special event coordination and management.
- Ability to multi-task and manage budgets.
- Sales/negotiation skills are a plus.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and evenings.
Physical Requirements
- Walking the property several times per day.
- Event set-up and tear-down.
- Sign installation and light lifting.
