About the role

This Marketing Internship supports the Marketing Manager with initiatives while providing customer service. The ideal candidate is a student at WCU (Marketing major or minor strongly encouraged). Responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Represent Dining Services with a friendly, professional, and engaging attitude while providing excellent customer service
• Create and manage marketing content, including social media posts, photography, video, and promotional materials
• Develop graphic and marketing material using Canva
• Support meal plan sales initiatives
• Perform general office administration duties
• Work independently in an autonomous environment while adhering to all workplace policies and procedures
• Prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively, demonstrating strong organization skills, creativity, and attention to detail
• Understand and communicate knowledge about meal plans and the overall Dining Service Program

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business commitments.

Requirements

• Interest in sales and/or marketing
• Desire to actively engage with customers to promote and grow meal plan and dining services
• Ability to work well independently and with a team
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills with managers, customers, and parents
• Experience with social media, photography, and video
• A flexible schedule (day and night) is a plus

• Likes to have fun at work while demonstrating a competitive sales nature

Physical Demands

• May require lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
• May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
