About the role
The Marketing Engineer, Brokerage Growth role is pivotal in driving Shepherd's growth engine for brokers. This includes building and owning a technical growth stack, implementing paid media and ABM campaigns, improving conversion across the funnel, and standing up GEO and AI search infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Own paid media & ABM: Run paid programs end-to-end, design and implement broker lifecycle journeys, and build intelligent sequences and plays.
- Improve conversion across the funnel: Build and iterate on landing pages, forms, and website flows to convert traffic from various channels.
- Stand up GEO / AI search: Implement structured data, schema markup, and entity infrastructure to ensure Shepherd shows up in relevant searches.
- Implement marketing automation & attribution: Select and wire the stack, build dashboards, and clearly show what’s working, especially for paid and ABM programs.
- Produce performance creative: Turn ideas into performance assets and direct specialists for higher-end production.
- Increase experimentation velocity: Continuously test, analyze results, and translate insights into actionable next steps for the business.
Requirements
4+ years of experience blending growth marketing, demand generation, and technical execution at a fast-moving B2B or consumer technology company. Must be extremely AI-pilled, comfortable with hands-on technical execution, and ready to move quickly and figure things out independently.
Qualifications
- Experience running growth programs at scale and building the attribution needed to prove impact.
- Comfortable turning rough ideas into usable content and directing designers or video partners to produce final assets.
- Experience in insurtech, fintech, or vertical SaaS is a plus.
- A clear view of what "AI-native growth" looks like in practice is a bonus.
