Marketing Director
About the role
The Marketing Director will develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives to support the growth, brand awareness, and customer engagement efforts of Sauk Valley Bank. This position directs day-to-day marketing functions, including expenses, budgets, advertising, and promotions, ensuring alignment with the bank’s mission, values, and business objectives. The Marketing Director also ensures compliance with all SVB policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal banking, trust, and investment regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the bank’s objectives and enhance brand recognition.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget in conjunction with Market Presidents to achieve the bank’s marketing goals and objectives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify customer needs, competitive trends, and emerging opportunities.
- Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Collaborate with product teams to develop market strategies for new products and services, ensuring effective promotion, customer education, and support of goals.
- Strengthen and maintain the bank’s brand by ensuring consistent messaging, design, and experience across all customer touchpoints.
- Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to execute marketing strategies effectively.
- Conduct annual reviews of products and services to accurately recommend growth, harvest, or exit strategies.
- Work with Compliance and Risk Management departments to review marketing content, ensuring all materials comply with banking regulations, advertising requirements, and brand standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
The Marketing Director supervises the Marketing Assistant.
Work Environment
The position is based in an open office that is mostly clean and comfortable, though it may include minor annoyances such as noise, odors, or drafts.
