About the role

Our client in the fintech industry is a profitable, high-growth financial services and rewards platform serving affluent, globally minded customers. The company is building a more thoughtful, design-forward approach to modern banking, payments, and travel rewards, and is entering an important phase of growth. We are looking for a Head of Marketing to define the company’s marketing vision and build the function that brings it to life. This is a high-ownership leadership role for a brand-led, performance-fluent marketer who can connect positioning, digital growth, and go-to-market execution into one integrated system. You will work closely with the founders and leaders across product, design, partnerships, and growth to clarify what the brand stands for, elevate how it shows up in market, and ensure that the brand strategy translates into measurable customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.

Responsibilities

The role is designed around three interconnected areas of responsibility:

  • Brand and positioning: Define and evolve the company’s brand strategy, product positioning, messaging architecture, and premium market expression. Guide an external brand-agency relationship and translate the resulting strategy into an actionable marketing roadmap.
  • Digital growth: Set strategy and accountability across acquisition, lifecycle marketing, funnel optimization, engagement, retention, and marketing performance measurement. Build a disciplined approach to KPIs, channel prioritization, experimentation, and ongoing optimization.
  • Go-to-market coordination: Partner across product, design, partnerships, and leadership to create clear market narratives and coordinated launches. Ensure campaigns, partnerships, product moments, and customer communications reinforce one another.
  • Own and evolve product positioning and brand strategy across customer touchpoints.
  • Build a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned to company growth goals and the needs of an affluent customer audience.
  • Lead integrated campaigns across digital, partnerships, owned channels, and experiential opportunities.
  • Establish the marketing metrics and operating cadence needed to evaluate channel performance and business impact.
  • Oversee customer acquisition, lifecycle, engagement, and retention initiatives, balancing long-term brand building with commercial results.
  • Partner with product and design teams to create cohesive storytelling and a consistently premium customer experience.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and co-marketing initiatives that expand awareness, trust, and reach.
  • Build and lead a scalable marketing organization, including internal hiring and agency management as the company grows.
  • Serve as a clear, trusted marketing voice with founders, senior leaders, partners, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing, brand strategy, or growth leadership experience in consumer, fintech, premium services, luxury, travel, hospitality, or another high-consideration category.
  • A record of leading brand positioning or brand evolution while also delivering accountable growth outcomes.
  • Strong fluency in performance marketing, acquisition, lifecycle marketing, customer journeys, funnel optimization, and marketing analytics.
  • Experience crafting and executing integrated, high-impact marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • The ability to guide agencies, build internal teams, and turn strategy into clear priorities, strong creative work, and operational follow-through.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership skills, especially with product, design, partnerships, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong taste and a deep appreciation for design, customer experience, and the details that shape a premium brand.
  • Executive-level presence and communication skills, with the ability to represent a sophisticated, design-forward brand with credibility.
  • A builder mindset and comfort operating in an evolving, high-growth environment.

Why this role

This is an opportunity to shape the voice, positioning, and growth engine of a next-generation financial services brand at a pivotal moment. You will have direct access to founders, meaningful influence over company strategy, and the mandate to build a modern marketing organization from the ground up. If you are energized by the intersection of fintech, premium consumer experience, global travel, and measurable growth, this role offers the chance to create something enduring.

Pay

Target base salary of $200,000–$300,000, plus equity and a comprehensive benefits package.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Equity participation
  • Flexible vacation policies
