About the role
The Marketing Designer, Brand & Web at Greater Good Charities is a key creative professional responsible for shaping and maintaining the visual identity of the organization across all channels. This role involves designing and producing compelling visual content for both print and digital media, including campaigns, collateral, templates, and identity systems. The designer will ensure brand consistency across marketing, fundraising, and program teams while managing day-to-day website updates on platforms such as HubSpot and WordPress. The position requires a creative thinker with strong technical skills in graphic design, web editing, and basic coding, who can translate strategic briefs into effective visual solutions that resonate with diverse audiences. Collaboration with various teams and external vendors is essential to ensure that all creative outputs align with the organization’s mission and branding standards.
Responsibilities
- Establish and uphold the visual look and feel of the Greater Good Charities brand across all channels, including print, web, email, social media, and events
- Serve as the day-to-day steward of brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and proper usage across teams
- Design and produce digital assets such as email templates, social media graphics, digital ads, and campaign visuals
- Create print collateral including brochures, direct mail pieces, event signage, banners, and report layouts, preparing files for print vendors and managing proofs
- Manage and update templates across channels to ensure ease of editing and to prevent creative fatigue
- Develop branding and supporting graphics for large campaigns aligned with the digital marketing calendar
- Support communication efforts for advancement and corporate partnership teams through newsletters, presentations, and direct mailers
- Design event materials and promotional assets for program teams, including flyers and presentations
- Own and execute website updates in HubSpot and WordPress, including building and editing page layouts, landing pages, and campaign pages
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing Operations and Director of Donor Experience to optimize website UX and ensure a seamless donor journey
- Work with agency partners on larger website projects and site improvements
- Analyze website traffic, user behavior, and page performance metrics to inform design and UX decisions
- Manage website code (HTML/CSS) to ensure functionality, proper tracking, and compliance with privacy standards
- Oversee and troubleshoot advertising pixels and tags within Google Tag Manager for accurate campaign tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in advertising, design, or a relevant field
- 2-5 years of experience in graphic design or in-house creative roles, preferably within marketing or nonprofit sectors
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience designing for print and digital platforms
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Express)
- Experience preparing press-ready files, including CMYK and spot colors, bleed, and resolution specifications
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS, with experience working within HubSpot CMS and WordPress, including theme editing and page building
- Experience managing website updates, building landing pages, and maintaining site UX
- Ability to analyze creative performance and adapt designs accordingly
- Strong typography, layout, and color judgment with a portfolio demonstrating consistent branding
- Experience with print production processes and working with print vendors
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and managing advertising pixels is a plus
