Marketing Copywriting Student

As a Marketing Copywriting Student, you will collaborate with a team of strategists, copywriters, and designers to create impactful content across print, digital, and social platforms. Responsibilities
- Generate compelling copy that informs and inspires the target audience to act.
- Ask thoughtful questions and seek feedback.
- Participate in interviews with customers or subject matter experts.
- Collaborate with team members to complete various marketing projects.
- Be comfortable with technology and eager to learn new software and tools.

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related fields.
- Preferred applicants will be in their sophomore or junior year of school and have completed writing coursework.
- Only strong academic performers will be considered and must maintain an acceptable GPA.
- Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with the application.
- Good oral communication, written communication, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and flexible with a desire to work both independently and as a team player.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Eager to learn with an innate curiosity and willingness to ask questions.
- Enthusiasm to work on new projects and flexibility to handle ever-changing priorities.
- General computer skills, including accurate keyboarding and the ability to learn and navigate new software and tools.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Schedule
Applicants should be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
Location
This position offers the flexibility to work from a South Dakota home office or at the Brookings, SD or Sioux Falls, SD Daktronics campuses.
Pay
The typical hiring range for this position is $14.50 to $17.00 per hour based on the location of Brookings, SD. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.
