Marketing + Content Creation Intern: Fall 2026
Overview
River’s Edge provides tailored promotion, marketing, and insurance solutions to brands, event organizers, sports entities, and agencies across most industries, offering specialized coverage for unique and high-risk scenarios. We are seeking an intern to assist with various administrative and creative tasks in our Richmond, VA office.
About the role
The ideal candidate is a current student or recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. You will work closely with industry professionals, develop a diverse skill set in marketing, communications, and project management, and have opportunities to attend industry events and internal networking sessions.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the creation and execution of marketing efforts, including social media, email marketing, and content creation for our website, blog, and social media channels.
- Help manage and grow our social media presence by creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance metrics.
- Work with senior marketing, sales, and business development personnel to assist with marketing and communications materials.
- Assist with any overflow work and provide support to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Aid in the creation of visually appealing marketing materials using graphic design skills with tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, as well as perform basic video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Assist with event and/or conference logistics, including ensuring proper registration and preparing necessary materials.
Requirements
- A current student or recent graduate willing to work at least 20 hours per week in our Richmond, VA office.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with a proven ability to write clearly and effectively without relying on AI assistance.
- Experience in content creation, social media management, basic video editing, and graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Canva.
- Experience with project management tools like Trello or Notion to help organize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel, at an advanced level.
- A self-starter who works well collaboratively and independently, with a detail-oriented approach to handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A quick learner and resourceful problem solver.
- An interest in sports marketing with a keen awareness of current sports news, and a major in marketing, advertising, business, or communications preferred.
