Fall 2026 Intern, Marketing

About the role
Our Intern program is a paid opportunity that allows participants to contribute to the organization's success while applying learnings from the classroom. This semester, we will continue with a hybrid program, offering each participant the opportunity to gain in-office experience approximately 3 days a week. Interns are responsible for their individual transportation and housing needs.
Responsibilities
- Assists in brainstorming potential marketing ideas for clients.
- Assists with NBA Tentpole events as assigned (i.e., NBA Draft).
- Assists in the execution of clients' marketing and community relations projects (i.e., charity events, production shoots, camps, etc.).
- Assists in updating and maintaining current client information (i.e., past marketing deals, player interests, social media analytics, press kits, etc.).
- Assists with client concierge requests (i.e., flights, restaurant reservations, housing, etc.).
- Assists in the marketing team's research of relevant industry trends and brands.
- Collaborates with other departments within Excel to support clients' marketing endeavors.
- Works alongside Agents and Marketing Managers in gathering materials for recruiting meetings and sales pitches.
- Gains valuable insight into how Excel's marketing department is structured and operates internally and externally.
- Has access to the Excel team for industry advice and learnings.
- May occasionally be assigned projects outside the Marketing group to gain exposure to other divisions within Excel.
Requirements
- Be available to work under 30 hours per week.
- Be available to report to the New York office approximately 3 days a week.
- Have senior standing in college (must have completed your junior year of undergrad) OR be enrolled in a graduate school OR have a bachelor's or postgraduate degree.
Schedule
- Fall Program runs from Monday, September 14th, 2026 through Thursday, December 10th, 2026.
- Office Hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET, Monday–Friday, or as agreed upon with advisor.
- Days in office must be coordinated with Advisor's schedules.
- Expected to work 24–29.9 hours per week during the session.
Pay
$17.00 per hour.
