Join Easterseals Southern California as a Marketing Communication Operations Manager and play a key role in strengthening how our Marketing Communications team works, collaborates, and delivers impact. In this role, you will help support a high-performing Marketing Communications team by enhancing workflow management, resource planning, performance tracking, and operational efficiency—all while contributing to an exceptional, mission-driven organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and manages governance processes that ensure Marcom work is aligned to organizational priorities.
- Defines and operationalizes clear prioritization frameworks to guide decision-making across competing requests.
- Partners with Marcom and organizational leadership to evaluate tradeoffs, capacity constraints, and strategic alignment.
- Facilitates regular prioritization reviews to ensure resources are focused on the highest-impact initiatives.
- Ensures transparency in how work is approved, sequenced, and resourced across the marketing function.
- Develops and maintains standardized workflows for marketing projects.
- Monitors team capacity and workload across Marcom functions.
- Aligns demand with available resources, particularly for creative services.
- Develops Smartsheet dashboards and reporting for leadership visibility.
- Manages marketing technology platforms and tools.
- Ensures tools are effectively utilized and integrated into workflows.
- Recommends and implements system improvements as needed.
- Facilitates coordination across Marcom teams, services, and support functions.
- Ensures alignment between brand, campaigns, and internal communications efforts.
- Provides operational leadership across the Marcom function by establishing clear processes, standards, and expectations.
- Influences stakeholders and team members to adopt and adhere to governance and prioritization practices.
- Facilitates alignment across teams by driving transparency in priorities, capacity, and decision-making.
- Supports a culture of accountability by ensuring commitments, timelines, and processes are consistently upheld.
- Acts as a key partner to Marcom leadership in driving operational discipline and continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training or relevant experience is preferred.
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in Marcom Operations or Project Management is required.
- Strong experience with process design and workflow management.
- Experience with marketing tools and project management platforms, specifically Smartsheet.
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations preferred.
- Experience with creative production workflows (design, video, content) preferred.

- Must pass all required drug testing by ESSC.

- Travel: Travel to ESSC offices and events in Southern California.

- Environmental Exposure: Work is performed in a standard office environment.
