About the Venue

The Thomas M. Ryan Center, a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facility, is located on the University of Rhode Island campus in scenic South County. Opened in June 2002, it serves as the home for URI Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs. Additionally, it houses the URI football team's locker room, athletic department offices, training rooms, players' lounges, and a souvenir store. Seating capacity varies depending on the event type, ranging from 8,000 for basketball games to over 6,300 for concerts, family shows, lectures, and other community events. The venue adheres to all ADA specifications to ensure accessibility for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute email campaigns
• Understand and develop game promotions and plans
• Research and collect data on student interest
• Aid in the planning and promotion of Junior Ruckus and Ruckus programs
• Assist in Fan Engagement Operations for Football, Men’s Basketball, and Women’s Basketball
• Lead for select Olympic Sports

Qualifications

• Preference given to students currently enrolled in a local university
• Availability to work a predetermined number of hours per week
• Organization and time management skills
• General understanding of Microsoft Suite & Google Suite
• Willingness to learn
• Interest in sports (preferred but not required)
