This position is located with the Marketing Department at Fort Riley, Kansas. We are seeking a creative and driven Marketing Assistant to help promote vital quality-of-life programs, events, and services across our Army community.
This job is open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Non-U.S. Nationals must have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with supervisor, higher-level managers, and Information Technology specialists in applying and implementing website initiatives.
- Evaluates user requirements and advises on design capabilities and maintenance responsibilities.
- Assists in the production of marketing plans and materials.
- Communicates MWR program promotions and advertisements to the Installation population through flyers, posters, bulletin boards, calendars, emails, announcements, and other media.
- Assists in the marketing and coordination of annual MWR special events.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Qualifications
- Practical knowledge of website maintenance and 1-3 years of experience in marketing.
- Must possess organizational skills and be able to work quickly in a web-based environment.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment under pressure to meet project deadlines and specific tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver).
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a similar field.
