Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to support outreach and promotional efforts for a non-profit organization in New Orleans, Louisiana. This contract position will help coordinate campaigns, strengthen audience engagement, and assist with event-related marketing activities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing both digital communication and administrative marketing tasks. Responsibilities:• Support the planning and execution of marketing initiatives that promote programs, events, and community outreach efforts.• Assist with creating, scheduling, and monitoring email campaigns to improve engagement with target audiences.• Coordinate logistics and promotional materials for events, helping ensure activities run smoothly from preparation through follow-up.• Contribute to direct marketing efforts by organizing campaign materials, tracking responses, and maintaining accurate records.• Manage social media updates by preparing content, posting regularly, and helping maintain a consistent brand presence.• Use Microsoft Excel to organize marketing data, maintain reports, and track campaign or event performance.• Provide day-to-day administrative support for marketing activities, including timelines, materials, and communication coordination. • Experience supporting marketing, communications, or promotional projects in a detail-focused environment. • Working knowledge of email campaign coordination and basic audience engagement practices. • Ability to assist with event planning, event handling, and related promotional activities. • Familiarity with direct marketing campaigns and social media content coordination. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking information, organizing lists, and preparing simple reports. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. • Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, detail-focused work style.
